How to Find Your Perfect Space to Study:

The University of San Diego's campus has many places to study, each with a unique vibe. Depending on your task will impact where it is best fitting. The University of San Diego campus map is an excellent resource for finding hidden gems like the main floor of Copley Library. Whether you're cramming for an exam the day before, collaborating with classmates on a group project, or catching up on some reaching, there's a spot for you on campus. Let's break down a few of my favorites:

  1. Copley Library Top Floor: Quiet and Focused

If you are someone who thrives in absolute silence and no distractions, the top floor of Copley Library is made for you. The space is perfect for studying for exams or catching up on class readings. It has a peaceful atmosphere and ambiance that sets the tone for serious productivity. There are many different areas within the Top Floor, including study rooms, desks, and tables. Lastly, one room called the Mother Rosalie Hall is so silent you can not even use a computer, so it includes all the extremes of quiet and focus.

  1. Copley Library Bottom Floor: Cozy and Casual

I still enjoy the library but am looking for something more relaxed. Head down to the bottom floor for a comfy spot with plenty of seating options. Even the furniture is more laid-back, offering more of a couch style rather than a desk. This area is excellent for working on group projects, collaborating with classmates to study, or doing study dumps on the many whiteboards provided.

  1. Knauss School of Business: Sleek and Modern

The brand-new Knauss School of Business is perfect if you're in the mood for a stylish and inspiring setting. There are three floors to choose from, all offering similar vibes but different advantages. The main floor has comfortable couches and high tables, and a lot of light comes in through the large windows. There is less spacing on the top floor, but it offers more space for individual studying. Lastly, the bottom floor, my favorite, has a courtyard outside with many seats to do homework while catching rays. The open spaces, modern design, and natural light are my favorite combinations for studying. It is a perfect blend of professionalism and productivity when you need a little motivation.

Whatever kind of study environment you are looking for, USD's campus has something for everyone. Grab your backpack, pack your snacks, head to campus, and get to work!
